Samsung is set to introduce a new phone in its text-focused Ch@t series soon. The Samsung Ch@t 222, model number E2222, will launch in India sometime in the near future.
This phone's main selling points, aside from the presumably affordable price it will have, are the fact that it's dual-SIM capable, and it's got a full physical QWERTY keyboard. As you can see from the image below, the Ch@t 222 has a BlackBerry-esque form factor, and is probably going to be well received by those who are very much into texting and social networking.
The Samsung Ch@t 222 has a 2.2-inch 222×176 screen, a VGA camera with video recording support, microSD card slot, FM radio, DNSe sound, built-in browser, support for social networking and email services, dual-SIM standby, music player, and a 1000 mAh battery.
Unfortunately a clear release date for this handset isn't yet known, and neither is a price, or even price level. However, on the latter we may speculate that, given its specs, the Ch@t 222 should be very affordable indeed. We'll let you know when it becomes available to buy.
