Officially announced back in February and available in Europe since March, the LG Optimus Chat has now found two homes in Canada. According to Mobile Syrup, both Telus and Koodo Mobile are selling the smartphone as of now, although their websites don't reflect that just yet. Reportedly, the Optimus Chat is offered for free with a new 3-yr contract agreement, or for $200 outright.
For that kind of money you get Android 2.2 Froyo (upgradeable to 2.3 Gingerbread), a 2.8 inch QVGA touchscreen display, sliding QWERTY keyboard, Wi-Fi hotspot capability, HSDPA, GPS, 3.5mm headset jack, 3.2MP camera, 600MHz processor, and MicroSD card support.
