LG is getting ready to introduce its third Optimus Android smartphone that features a QWERTY keyboard, after the Optimus Chat C550 and the Optimus Q (released in Korea only). The new handset is called LG Optimus Pro C660 and, unlike the other two models, which are sliders, it's a candybar with a portrait display (2.8, inches, QVGA) and a keyboard beneath it - thus resembling the Motorola Droid Pro and the Samsung Replenish.
The Optimus Pro runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread, and it looks like it doesn't have 3G. it does have Wi-Fi and GPS, though, plus a 3MP camera, and a 1,500 mAh battery.
According to AndroidWorld.it, the LG Optimus Pro C660 should be available in Italy soon for about €170.
For the moment, we don't know if LG has any plans to launch the Optimus Pro outside Europe. But I guess it does, since the Optimus brand has become quite popular thanks to the Optimus One (and its different versions).
