AT&T has just quietly revealed that it will be selling the Sony Xperia Play at a holiday preview event in New York City.
The phone will run on Android 2.3(Gingerbread), and will be AT&T's second Gingerbread phone behind the HTC Status. The device will run on AT&T's 4G HSPA+ network with speeds up to 21 MBps. AT&T will be getting its own special “Stealth Blue” version of the Play along with the stock black version. If you are unfamiliar with the Xperia Play, it spots a 1GHz Qualcomm MSM8255 Snapdragon chip, a 4-inch display, and a 5 megapixel camera.
This Xperia Play is the same as Verizon's with the exception of a different color and different network speeds. AT&T has yet to release any info on pricing or availability, but we will keep you updated on the status of the Xperia Play.
